The deadlines herein (number of workdays) are defined considering the workload of our translators (and their summer and end-of-the-year holidays, as the case may be), and it may occur that we can deliver with longer deadlines. You are advised that longer deadlines occasionally mean more favourable rates.
Our prices are valid as of 1 april 2025.
In the case of paper-based certified translations, prices are calculated using the number of target-language characters including spaces. For e-certified translations the number of source-language characters including spaces are used. The price of certified translations includes the fee of the translation, revision, post-editing, and proofreading.

Cancellation fee: HUF 5,000 + VAT (gross HUF 6,350) + all costs until the time of cancellation (translation, revision, etc.)
Postal charge: OFFI Ltd charges postage for orders to be delivered by post.
In case of certified translations, if the original document is submitted or presented subsequently, our Company charges a collating fee for HUF 550 + VAT (gross HUF 699) per source-language page.
If it turns out that the copy of the source-language document submitted for translation when placing the order and the original document provided afterwards vary in any aspect, OFFI shall be entitled to recharge the full revision fee.
Handling fee: as per points II/A and III of the General Terms and Conditions (GTC), OFFI Ltd charges a handling fee in the following cases:
In case any problems arise regarding the authenticity of the document after placing the order for its certified translation and OFFI Ltd. withdraws from the agreement, a handling fee equalling the cancellation fee shall be charged together with the annulment of the order.
A handling fee of monthly HUF 500 + VAT (gross HUF 635) is charged for translations completed but not received until their reception.”
Attested revision
Prices of and pricing certified revision (attestation of translations)
Translations made by other translators or translating agencies and translations made earlier by OFFI but not yet attested may be subsequently attested. The prerequisite of attestation of translations submitted by Clients is revision (professional and linguistic check) by OFFI. The original document and its editable translation must be submitted electronically for such revision.

At the Client’s request, certifies copies are issued of translations prepared earlier from a foreign language into Hungarian or from Hungarian into a foreign language applying the below fees:
In case of certified translations issued after 01 August 2010, the rate for copies is HUF 5,000 + VAT (gross HUF 6,350) + certification fee + duty
In case the certified translation was issued before the above date and our Client has the original certified translation, we can make a copy of the original source-language document (attestation fee + duty). In case the translation is available in the old OFFI system, the rate for copies is HUF 5,000 + VAT (gross HUF 6,350) + certification fee + duty. If the former translation is not available and it must be typed, an additional HUF 300/ page shall be charged for such typing.
If the former certified translation was issued before the above date and our Client does not have the original source text only the copy of the certified translation, the translation shall be reviewed and a revision fee shall be charged.
In case of translations older than 10 years, the review fee is charged in all cases.
When placing an order for certified translation, our Office is legally entitled to make certified copies of foreign-language documents; however, only notaries public may make certified copies of the Hungarian documents submitted for translation.
If you require a certified copy of a Hungarian document submitted for translation, our Office can arrange the notarization at your request.
The administrative fee of the notarized attestation clause in case of certified translation orders is HUF 500 + VAT, i.e. HUF 635 in total independent of the number of documents. A separate, detailed invoice is issued in the client’s name on the notarization cost.

Our Company charges a discounted fee for the certified translation of several types of documents.
The certified translation into English and German of the original copy of the new type of Hungarian language “Secondary School Certificate of Final Examination” issued after 2005 and the “Certificate” issued as its supplement, and the Hungarian document entitled “Extract of Data in the Central Register of Personal and Residence Data”, or their copy with a notarisation in the target language, as well as the certified translation into Hungarian and foreign languages of vaccination certificates and notarised vaccination sheets.

Certified translation of documents used in simplified naturalisation procedure
In order to facilitate the acquisition of the Hungarian citizenship of those applying for simplified naturalisation, OFFI Ltd. undertakes the translation of standard documents (i.e. birth, death and marriage certificates in Croatian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Romanian, and Ukrainian) into Hungarian and submitted after 01 January 2011 for a fixed fee of HUF 8,800 + VAT (gross HUF 11,176) within 3 days and for HUF 9,800 + VAT (gross HUF 12,446) within 1 day. In case of translating other documents (types not included in the above list of standardized documents), calculations are based on the gross number of characters in the target language.
At the Client’s request, OFFI Ltd. prepares a certified copy of the translation for a uniform preferential rate of HUF 3,500 + VAT (gross HUF 4,445) per copy.
OFFI Ltd. undertakes to attach a clause on name-bearing free of charge using the Client’s declaration on name-bearing; therein the Hungarian name is displayed which may be given to the Client in the change of name procedure based on the documents available.
OFFI Ltd. reserves the right to request an advance at the placement of the order in accordance with the order sheet.

In the certified translations of Hungarian documents annexed with a Hungarian-language notarization, the text of the Hungarian notarization clause – if not required by the place of use – does not have to be translated, it is sufficient to display the following in the certified translation: “The document contains a copy attestation clause.” This entails no extra charge for you.
