Translation prices


I. Calculating the price
Our prices are based on the gross number of target language characters (i.e. characters including spaces). Target language means the language to which the source text is translated.

In the case of online orders prices are based on the gross number of source language characters (i.e. characters including spaces). Source language means the language from which the text is translated.


The basic price of translation is HUF 2.4 per character + VAT. This basic price is valid for orders under 15,000 characters.*


Pricing factors
The final price of the translation is influenced by the following factors:

  • Language
  • Urgency
  • Size
  • Difficulty of the source text

Other languages
The source language characters are increased by the following multipliers in the case of the languages listed below:

  • Hebrew (Ivrit) 1.5
  • Japanese 2.0
  • Chinese and Korean 2.8

* Translations in excess of 15,000 characters are assessed separately.

 

Revision prices
Prepared translations are revised for 50% of the translation price. Prices shown do not include VAT.

II. Attested translation prices
Calculating the price
The basic price of attested translations is HUF 4.5 per character + VAT. The basic price includes the following services:

  • Translation HUF 2.4 per characters
  • Revision HUF 1.2 per characters
  • Editing HUF 0.3 per characters
  • Proofreading HUF 0.6 per characters
  • Total: HUF 4.5 per characters

 

Further costs of attestation
Attestation fee: HUF 1,500 per attestation
Stamp duty: HUF 300 per page
Prices shown do not include VAT.

 

Basic price of attested revision
The basic price of attested revision of translations prepared by clients is HUF 3.0 per characters.

  • Revision HUF 1.8 per characters
  • Editing HUF 0.6 per characters
  • Proofreading HUF 0.6 per characters
  • Total: HUF 3.0 per characters

Translation price of basic documents
Basic documents are Hungarian documents issued by Hungarian authorities in respect of personal status. The translation price of basic documents is HUF 3,500 per document + VAT.
Only Hungarian documents issued by Hungarian authorities qualify as basic documents:

  • Certificates of birth, marriage and death
  • Criminal record certificate
  • Driver’s license*
  • Passport*
  • ID card*
  • Official residence card*
  • Military ID card*
  • Apostille

* Notarised copies of the above documents are classified in the category of “Other documents”.
The translation deadline for basic certificates is 3 days; shorter deadlines are subject to 100% extra charge.

 

Extra charge for specialised texts is 50%
Specialised texts are documents requiring special knowledge in a field of profession, e.g.:

  • Medical certificates (final reports, autopsy reports etc.)
  • Technical documents (manuals, user’s guides etc.)
  • Real estate appraisal reports
  • Forensic expert opinions
  • Laws, law certificates
  • Standards, patent documents
  • License agreements
  • Documents issued before 1945
  • Documents placed into this category on separate assessment

Minimum price: HUF 3,500 + VAT
Cancellation fee: HUF 3,500 + VAT and all additional costs incurred up to the time of cancellation (translation, revision etc.).

The prices provided are net prices and do not include VAT, postage and delivery charges.

In the case of online orders we only accept bank card payments.
