Our main scope of business is to prepare attested translations, to attest translations, and to certify copies of foreign language documents pursuant to Section 5 of Decree 24/1986. (VI.26.) of the Council of Ministers, as well as to provide interpreting services.

The documents generated by
OFFI are provided with the coat of arms of Hungary and a round seal. Also known as certified translations, attested translations may primarily be made of public and private documents for the purpose of use in official procedures, and shall qualify as authentic documents under the relevant statutory provisions.

We make an effort to provide customer-friendly services, paying special attention to our customers’ needs and requirements. In this we are assisted by nearly 250 internal and 500 external colleagues.

Thanks to our professional translators and language editors we are able to prepare high-quality translations practically in all languages and all fields. In fulfilling special responsibilities, the mutual and excellent professional co-operation with the ministries, the foreign affairs authorities, the academic staff of the Department of Translation and Interpreting of the Faculty of Arts of Eötvös Loránd University, and the members of the Association of Hungarian Translators and Interpreters is a great help to us. Our translators and interpreters possess the professional qualifications prescribed in the relevant ministerial decree.

OFFI is also aiming to provide
high-quality interpreting services to clients. We provide experienced and presentable professionals with conference interpreter qualification in multiple working languages in accordance with the expectations of the European Union. Our interpreters provide consecutive, simultaneous and liaison interpreting services in a variety of fields including economics, law, finance, computer technology, telecommunications, communications, environmental protection, transport, construction, education, medicine, natural science, etc. They are capable of working between foreign languages directly or through Hungarian.

We
frequently work with confidential information in the course of translation and interpreting. On the one hand, the requirement of utmost reliability of work and information management is observed as a basic rule of the translator and interpreter profession; on the other hand, all of our professionals are obliged to sign strictly sanctioned confidentiality statements.
